Ah, winter in JP—again

How can you tell it’s winter in JP? The pond is frozen. Snow covers the ground and the trees.

The streets are minimally plowed for only one lane of traffic, and only some are sanded. People shovel out their parking spaces and stick lawn chairs or other reminders of their hard work in them when they leave. Many sidewalks are impassable because they are not shoveled, and, best of all, the giant potholes are back on Centre Street. Thanks so much to the state’s Department of Conservation and Recreation and the City of Boston for the horrible job of plowing and sanding, and thanks are due as well to the T and the city again for making sure that we have our potholes back on Centre Street. It wouldn’t be winter without them.
