CANARY SQ.—The Alchemist Restaurant & Lounge at 435 S. Huntington Ave. appears poised to change hands.
At its March 17 meeting, the Jamaica Plain Business and Professional Association heard a presentation to transfer the bar’s liquor license from the current owners to a group called JP Partners, which includes JP resident Michael Moxley.
The Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Council (JPNC) Public Service Committee voted to support the transfer at its April 6 meeting, said Anna Sylvester, who attended the meeting. Sylvester is the JP Liaison from City Councilor John Tobin’s office.
Neither Moxley—who co-owns Allston bar Common Ground and the Coda Bar and Kitchen in the Back Bay—nor the Alchemist’s current owners, Lyndon Fuller and Relena Erskine, returned Gazette phone calls requesting comment.
