(Courtesy Photo) JP resident Kelly Dunn, who works at the local Veterans Affairs Medical Center as a case manager for legally blind and functionally impaired patients, holds her Carroll Award for outstanding workplace performance at a June 3 ceremony in Newton. The award, given by the Carroll Center for the Blind and the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind, honors blind or visually impaired employees who have outstanding job performance. Dunn, who became legally blind while pursuing a career in illustration, found a new life as a social worker.
