JP has a huge number of nonprofit organization employees, but they don’t have many venues for mingling and sharing ideas. A new lunchtime meet-up at a Hyde Square restaurant is changing that.
A suggestion from JP’s Family Independence Initiative-Boston led The Haven, a Scottish eatery at 2 Perkins St., to seat employees from various nonprofits together at lunch—and give them a 10 percent discount.
Aaron Gerry, FII-Boston’s social media coordinator, Tweeted the idea late last year. The first lunch led to interesting cross-organization discussion, he said.
