Market raided for drug-dealing

FOREST HILLS—Workers at a Hyde Park Avenue market were dealing drugs from behind the counter, according the Boston Police Department (BPD), which arrested three employees and another woman in a Feb. 21 raid.

Heroin, oxycodone pills and over $10,000 in cash were found behind the counter of the D&R Supermarket at 180 Hyde Park Ave. at Patten Street, according to BPD.

Store manager Jeancarlo Rodriguez, 30, of Jamaica Plain and clerk Ansony Lapaix, 22, of Dorchester were charged with drug trafficking and possession of drugs with intent to distribute in a school zone.

Clerk Noelia Melendez, 25, of Dorchester was charged with being in the company of a person in possession of heroin. Dilency Liberato, 25, of Mattapan, who is not a store employee, was arrested on the same charge as Melendez, according to BPD.

A man who answered the phone at the store last week said in Spanish that no one there speaks English, then hung up.
