JACKSON SQ.—Urban Edge has been awarded a $20,000 grant from Citi Community Development to support its Foreclosure Prevention Counseling Program.
Citi provided start-up funds for the program at the Columbus Avenue community development corporation in 2007. Since then, it has provided $90,000 in funds. The latest grant was awarded in January.
The program provides one-on-one, full-service counseling to homeowners. Staff members are fluent in Spanish and Creole.
