(Photo by David Branigan) Members of the Village Health Team in Amuru, Uganda, pose last year with a bike of the type they uses in a workshop created in partnership with JP-based Bikes Not Bombs (BNB). The bike business will create local transit and ambulance networks as well as build community. BNB is highlighting the effort as an alternative to the “Stop Kony” campaign, which calls for military intervention against Ugandan war crimes suspect Joseph Kony, and which BNB says will only worsen conditions there.
