Bromley-Heath manager named

JACKSON SQ.—Angel Lopez has been named the manager of the Bromley-Heath public housing development by the Boston Housing Authority (BHA).

Lopez is Bromley-Heath’s first manager since the BHA’s still-unexplained takeover from the resident-run Tenant Management Corporation last month.

Lopez is an experienced BHA manager who himself grew up in Mission Hill’s public housing, according to local state Rep. Jeffrey Sánchez, who was slated to hold a welcome breakfast for Lopez this week as the Gazette went to press.

“We grew up in Mission Main together,” Sánchez said. “I’ve known him all my life. He’s a change agent.”

Lopez previously managed Jamaica Plain’s South Street and Roslindale’s Archdale housing developments, Sánchez said.
