Stonybrook Crash

(Photo by Jonathan McCurdy) A damaged SUV sits on Rossmore Road in front of the Rossmore-Stedman Park tot lot following a two-vehicle accident on April 10 that sent one person to the hospital with neck and back pain, according to the Boston Fire Department. Resident Jonathan McCurdy said that the rear-ender accident highlights a growing problem of cut-through traffic speeding and running stop signs in the Stonybrook neighborhood between Forest Hills and Washington streets.

  • I am frequently appalled at the speed vehicles travel down city residential side streets.  Cambridge has made some progress at slowing folks down through creative use of one way streets, speed bumps, and drawings/paintings on the road.  If there's a tot lot in the area maybe the city should try something similar.
