A team featuring players from JP’s District E-13 Police Station and the state Probation Department won the 6th annual Meet the Face Behind the Badge basketball tournament June 23-24 at the Bromley-Heath housing development in Jackson Square. The tournament pits public safety officials against civilian teams as a way to build bridges with the community. This year marks the first time a “badge” team has won the championship. Bromley’s own team lost to the Boston Police Gang Unit. The tournament is sponsored by the Bromley-Heath Tenant Management Corporation, Mass Housing and the Boston Foundation.
