It was great to read that the T is going to crack down on people who park in bus stops, and to know that the buses have a button to report the location. (“T police target bus stop parkers,” Sept. 28.) Now, if I could only get a similar button in my car to push every time a bus blocks traffic by not pulling into an empty bus stop.
I respect their bus stop areas and don’t park in them. They should respect the traffic rights and pull into their stops to pick up and drop off.

I'm pretty sure the bus stop parking restrictions are there to make it easier for elderly and disabled riders to board the bus (so that they can step directly from the sidewalk onto the bus), NOT to respect some nonexistent right of drivers to pass the bus while it is picking up passengers. In my experience, when bus drivers do not pull all the way over to the sidewalk, it is because someone has parked a car in such a way as to make it difficult for the bus driver to return to the normal traffic flow, OR because someone has flagged down a bus that was just about to pass by the stop (and thus pulling over is impossible without backing the bus up).
you are right on that comment, also if they do pull into a stop they just cut right out in front of you when they pull out. Another thing is most of the trolley drivers run the red light at the corner of South Huntington & Huntington
