(Courtesy Photo) Luna the puppy is back on her feet after undergoing surgery May 28 at the Angell Animal Medical Center on S. Huntington Avenue to repair her hips and legs, which were shattered when she was hit by a car in Lawrence last month. The 3-and-a-half-month-old pit bull mix pup had gone into the road after being left unattended by her owners, who later agreed to surrender her to the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Luna is now recovering in a foster home following the surgery by Angell’s Dr. Sue Casale.
