Two of the five city councilors who are running for mayor supplemented their income with outside work last year. City councilors have an annual salary of $87,500.

City councilors must file annual financial statements with the City. The Gazette went to City Hall to obtain the statements.

City Councilor Mike Ross earned between $60,001 and $100,000 last year at the law firm Prince Lober Tye. City Councilor John Connolly owned a percentage of the law firm Schofield, Campbell and Connolly last year and drew an income between $1,001 and $5,000. Connolly previously told the Gazette he left the law firm last October.

City Councilors Rob Consalvo, Charles Yancey and Felix Arroyo, who lives in Jamaica Plain, did not earn any income outside their City salaries.
