JPNC chooses new officers

The Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Council selected its new officers at its Nov. 26 meeting.

Kevin Moloney was selected as chair, Gerry O’Connor was chosen as vice-chair and Michael Reiskind was chosen as Secretary-Treasurer.

Former chair Benjamin Day remains on the JPNC. Moloney is a longtime Pondside resident and attorney who previously chaired the council in the 1990s.

Day led the JPNC through a controversial period, including a council-back lawsuit against a development at 161 S. Huntington Ave. Moloney was a JPNC adviser on that suit.

The 20-seat JPNC is a neighborhood group that advises the City about various issues. Its website is jpnc.org.
