A memorial to two firefighters killed in service was set up at the Soldier’s Monument today by Carlos Arredondo. American flags, a fire fighters’ flag, wings and white crosses bearing the names of Fire Lieutenant Edward J. Walsh Jr., 43, and Firefighter Michael R. Kennedy, 33, who were killed in March 26’s nine-alarm fire in the Back Bay, were prominently arranged (Gazette Photo by Rebeca Oliveira).
