A U.K.-based coffee franchise is looking to open one of its first U.S. locations in Jamaica Plain.
Caffè Nero, similar to Starbucks or Au Bon Pain, is planning on opening its first American store at 733 Centre St., the former home of the Commonwealth Bank, according Centre/South Main Streets Executive Director Andrew Zarro.
“I think that says something really big about the future of JP,” Zarro said at a March 19 JP Business and Professional Association (BAPA) meeting.
Caffè Nero did not respond to Gazette questions about any opening timeline.
Its first American location will be at 580 Washington St., according to its website.
