Room 68, a designer furniture gallery and showroom located at 68 South St., is expanding into a second, much bigger showroom in Provincetown.

Co-owners Brent Refsland, also owner of The Hallway Gallery at 66a South St., and Eric Portnoy told the Gazette that the new Cape Cod location, with about 12,000 square feet, is expected to open in May.

“The new space will allow us to incorporate more art into our collection of functional design. We plan on having rotating exhibitions throughout the summer season. The larger space will also allow us to feature more design and accommodate the hundreds of customers we are expecting each day,” Refsland told the Gazette in an email.

“It’s going to be a very different experience down there,” Portnoy told the Gazette during a phone interview. “It’s really exciting. We’re ordering a lot more designs.”

The new showroom will be located at 377 Commercial St. in Provincetown. Room 68’s website is room68online.com.
