Regan League parade won’t reschedule

The Jamaica Plain Regan Youth League baseball and softball league’s annual Opening Day Parade will not be rescheduled, according to a main participant. It was originally scheduled for late April, but was cancelled due to rain.

Longtime participant Michael Frank told the Gazette that the parade would not be rescheduled. Regan League organizer Harry Smith did not return Gazette calls and emails.

The parade down Centre Street and S. Huntington Avenue is a popular local tradition. It was postponed and rescheduled last year in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombings.
