A baby giraffe born Oct. 2 at the Franklin Park Zoo is measured by staff members. The female calf, born to mother Jana and father Beau, weighs 160 pounds and stands 6 feet tall. It is the fifth surviving calf born to the parent giraffes. The baby giraffe is not yet on public display, and all of the giraffes are kept indoors when the temperature is under 65 degrees.
