Roslindale Neighbors: Rozzie Main Street marks 30 years

Roslindale Village Main Street (RVMS), a business-promotion organization that was started by former Mayor Thomas Menino when he was a city councilor, will celebrate its 30-year anniversary this year, according to RVMS executive director Christina DiLisio.

“I think it is a testament to the residents and business owners of Roslindale and that RVMS can be an engine for people to make a difference,” DiLisio said about the anniversary.

She said that RVMS will celebrate the anniversary during the Roslindale farmer’s market on Aug. 8 with a day of “fun activities” and again during its annual fundraiser on the third Thursday of October.

“It will be opportunity to honor Menino’s legacy and our work,” said DiLisio.
