AWARD WINNER

Krystal Banfield, dean for Berklee City Music and a Jamaica Plain resident, received the 2016 Amtrak Pioneer Award during the Feb. 29 Boston Celtics game. The award honors African-American leaders who have made substantial contributions to Boston and the surrounding area.
