The “Mayor’s Enchanted Trolley Tour & Tree Lighting” will be coming to Jamaica Plain on Dec. 3, according to a press release.
“The trolley tour and tree lightings are great ways to continue to foster the spirit of community and bring a little extra joy to people during the holiday season,” said Mayor Martin Walsh, according to the press release. “The holiday season is a time for unity and thanksgiving. All are welcome, and we look forward to visiting different neighborhoods throughout the city for a weekend full of fun and celebration.”
This year marks the 21th anniversary of the event.
The trolley will stop at several locations citywide from Dec. 2 to Dec. 4. On Dec. 3, the trolley will stop at Hyde Square at 2 p.m. before traveling down Centre Street to Monument Square at 2:45 p.m.
The Trolley Tours was a favorite event for late Mayor Thomas Menino, who held his final holiday go-round in 2013 before leaving office.
