CALL FOR FARMERS MARKET VOLUNTEERS

The Mayor’s Office of Food Justice is looking for volunteers to support Farmers Markets this summer. Spend time outside and working with amazing farmers and vendors! If you’re interested, please submit this form: bit.ly/Volunteer-FM. 

JACKSON SQUARE CELEBRATION

On June 1, the City of Boston and Jackson Square Partners, a collaboration led by the Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation (JPNDC), Urban Edge, and The Community Builders celebrated the completion of JPNDC’s 25 Amory Street Apartments, a 44-unit, transit-oriented development. They also toured the construction site for The Community Builders’ 250 Centre St. development that will create 76 new affordable homes and celebrated the anticipated summer construction start of Urban Edge’s 1599 Columbus Street development that will create 65 new affordable apartments.

SUMMER CONCERTS AT WENHAM       STREET CINEMA

Wenham Street Cinema is partnering with Light of Day Records (in Monument Market) to host two summer concerts. The first concert is Saturday, July 23 from 3 to 7pm. We have a *remarkable* lineup of local musicians and there will be records on sale, dancing, merriment, and neighborly love. Hope to see you there!  Check out @WenhamStreetCinema on IG to see what the concerts were like last year. The July 23 show will feature Grace Givertz, Ardao, and Michael Boezi. A $10 donation is suggested, and 100% of donations will go to the musicians. BYOB and BYOF.

SHATTUCK CAMPUS RFP NOW AVAILABLE

The state’s Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) announced on June 14 that the Request for Proposals (RFP) has been released, seeking a redevelopment partner for the Shattuck Campus at Morton St. More information can be found at  mass.gov/service-details/shattuck-campus-redevelopment-at-morton-street-proposal. 

SHATTUCK BIDDERS CONFERENCE TO BE HELD ON JULY 26

A Bidder’s Conference for the Shattuck Redevelopment RFP will be held on July 26, at 10AM, via ZOOM Webinar.  All are welcome to join using the following link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/87147267478?pwd=V0JEc3c3RFZaclZ0WnhIdlpONFlMQT09. RFP Questions – Please submit questions on the Shattuck Redevelopment RFP to shattuckcampus.dcamm@mass.gov before Friday, July 29th at 3PM.  DCAMM will post questions and written responses at https://www.mass.gov/service-details/shattuck-campus-redevelopment-at-morton-street-proposalon or before Friday, August 5 at 12 p.m.

EGLESTON     FARMERS MARKET

The Egleston Farmers Market returns on Saturday, May 21, through Saturday, October 9, in a new location at the Community Servings parking lot. The market will bring fresh, local food back to the neighborhood along with low waste living resources. You can also drop off textile recycling every week Saturday and electronics recycling on the first Saturday of every month.
