Chess Tournament at JP Licks

JP Licks has been a generous supporter of the Jamaica Plain Chess Club, offering their space as a perfect venue for their weekly tournaments.

  • Anyone interested in JP Chess can find out more on our website jamaicaplainchess.com. We meet every Thursday 6-9pm at J.P. Licks. There are no membership fees as we rely on donations to cover our expenses.

  • For those interested in attending JP Chess gatherings we meet every Thursday evening from 6 until 9pm at J.P. Licks. Sets and clocks are provided. Most gatherings are casual chess (just turn up and play who is available), but we have blitz tournaments every three months and a slow chess tournament over the winter and summer months. We sometimes play matches against other clubs. We do not charge but rely on donations to help cover the expenses. More information can be found at our website jamaicaplainchess.com .
