A recent Gazette article noted that JP Trees is planning to resume their tree planting soon. The JP Trees folks—volunteers all—deserve accolades for their work, which beautifies our community and contributes to a healthy environment. Many of the old-growth trees in our area are succumbing to age and disease. These trees will have to be replaced if we are to preserve the canopy of green and shade which provide so much comfort.

I would like to thank the good-natured volunteers who helped plant the lovely tree in my yard and recommend them to others.
