Mitt Romney is a self-interested carpetbagger who doesn’t care a whit about the people of Massachusetts. He became governor merely to put it on his resume so he could run for president. His stance on same-sex marriage is nothing more than disingenuous posturing to get more votes from conservative southern and mid-western states.
Individual and civil rights should never be put up for a popular vote. If the common man was to vote on desegregation or inter-racial marriage today, neither would pass—even in 2006!
