Teen charged with stabbing

HYDE SQ.—A 16-year-old Roxbury resident was charged last week with an April 6 stabbing on Gay Head Street that left a woman with “life-threatening” injuries, according to a police report.

The female suspect, whose name was not released, is reportedly known to the victim and fled the scene before turning herself in on April 7. The suspect was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Officers found the victim, whose name has not been released, lying on the sidewalk in front of 30 Gay Head St., suffering from eight stab wounds to the face and torso.

The suspect and victim argued at a party at 31 Gay Head St., according to a police report. When the victim left the party, she began fighting with the suspect. The suspect drew a knife from her pocket and stabbed the victim, according to a police report.
