JP CENTER—It’s a new year for Bon Savor in more ways than one. The locally owned restaurant at 605 Centre St., at the corner of Pond Street, introduced the winter version of its new gourmet menu—developed with a well-known South American chef—this week.
And owners Ibonne Zabala from Colombia and Oleg Konovalov from Russia have a brand new baby, Sebastian, born on Dec. 18. He is their first.
This past fall, Bon Savor expanded its concept, adding “South American” to its existing “French bistro” identity. Chef Alba Aranda joined the restaurant to launch the international gourmet fare. In addition, vegetarian and vegan alternatives were added to the menu.
“We are very excited that this new twist to our restaurant is bringing about a new and promising chapter in the history of Bon Savor,” Zabala said this week, adding that many dishes, including the vegan and vegetarian ones, are quite popular.
Zabala and Konovalov opened Bon Savor a little more than three years ago. The restaurant got a beer and wine license and did some reno-vations early last year.
