Motorcycles disrupted the neighborhoods

On Sept. 13, the Larz Anderson Auto Museum hosted Classic European Motorcycle Day. Hundreds of motorcycles took over Larz Anderson Park and flooded the surrounding residential streets of Brookline and Jamaica Plain with noise and air pollution. The Auto Museum turned Sunday morning in our quiet neighborhoods into Laconia Bike Week.
It is time to ask what the Auto Museum brings to Brookline and Jamaica Plain besides noise and air pollution. It is time to ask them to stop staging huge internal combustion engine events or relocate to an industrial area. These events are bad for the park, bad for air quality, bad for traffic and bad for the abutting neighborhoods.
