The staff and Friends of the Connolly Branch Library extend thanks to the generous volunteers and local businesses that contributed to a very successful Kindergarten Days celebration on Aug. 17. Over 100 children entering kindergarten this fall and their families were treated to an evening of activities, gift bags and dinner, followed by a parade to Mozart Park and Playground. Warmest thanks to Countdown to Kindergarten, Friends of the Connolly Branch Library, Sorella’s, New England Aquarium, CAPEF, Boston Police District E13, Quisqueya Bakery, El Oriental de Cuba Restaurant, Peter J. Hanley DMD, WIC, Hi Lo Supermarket, Massachusetts Dental Society, Zesto’s Pizza and Grille, La Casa de los Regalos, Captain Nemo’s Subs and Pizza, Southern Jamaica Plain Health Center and volunteers Nereida Martinez, Luz Lao, Patty Young, Fran and Woody Streeter, Noemi Vides and Kathy McHugh.
We invite the community to join us on Fri., Oct. 30 for our annual Halloween Party and Parade through Hyde Square.
