A vandal from Illinois will serve six months in jail for his 2005 tagging of MBTA trains, including some at Jamaica Plain’s Forest Hills T Station, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.
Jim Clay Harper, 25, pleaded guilty earlier this month to seven counts of vandalism for spray-painting his tag “ETHER” on Orange Line trains and other MBTA property. Harper was sentenced to one year in jail, with half of that sentence suspended, and was ordered to pay $10,000 in restitution.
Prosecutors said that Harper collaborated with another vandal, Danielle Bremner, 28, who received similar punishment for spray-painting Back Bay homes in 2006. Both vandals have prior convictions for graffiti in New York State, according to the DA’s Office.
