Martial arts studio to open soon

JP CENTER—JP Tae Kwon Do Studio is set to open in early September on the second floor over City Feed and Supply at 670 Centre St. Tae Kwon Do Master In Kwon Jang, a JP resident, will run the studio.

According to another JP resident and fellow native of Korea, Phil Paik, owner of JP Seafood Café, the 3,000-square-foot studio will be open days and evenings with martial arts classes for children and adults.

Tae Kwon Do is a Korean martial art, an Olympic sport and the national sport of South Korea. It combines combat techniques, self-defense, sport, exercise, meditation and philosophy.
