Burgers and bingo for new eatery

R‘n’R (Redd’s in Rozzie), the newly opened restaurant at 4257 Washington St. in Roslindale Village, is now hosting a weekly “Burger and Bingo Night” on Tuesdays. R’n’R, recently opened by Chef and Owner Charlie Redd at the former Geoffrey’s Café, is the first restaurant and bar in Roslindale Village to host a weekly bingo night.

R‘n’R Bingo is a free, drop-in event open to all. Prizes change weekly and include house-made goods from the kitchen and gifts from a wide range of local purveyors and breweries, as well as unique culinary trinkets.

“From the start, I always envisioned my restaurant being a community get-together spot. When I walked through the location that would be R‘n’R for the first time, I imagined a lively game night and bingo was the obvious choice. And what goes better with bingo than a perfect burger?” said Chef Redd. “Win or lose, everybody has a good time playing bingo. Pair this with honest, delicious food and unique drinks in a neighborhood spot—that is my idea of a great time.”

Every Tuesday, Chef Redd adds “Charlie’s Perfect Burger” to the menu, a half-pound, grass-fed beef patty cooked on R‘n’R’s wood grill, and served on a bun from Roslindale Village’s Fornax Bakery with cheese, house-made pickles and choice of side.

R‘n’R is a casual neighborhood restaurant and bar focusing on local, responsible and delicious food and drink. R‘n’R serves up seasonal, funky and approachable interpretations of Americana cooking. The bar at R‘n’R is a comfortable meeting place for the neighborhood, offering craft beer, an eclectic wine list and vintage cocktails.

R‘n’R, which opened at the end of April, serves dinner Tuesday through Saturday and serves a weekend brunch. The bar is open Tuesday through Saturday. R‘n’R is closed on Mondays. For more information, see www.reddsinrozzie.com.
