Despite the heavy rain, over 100 people came out to enjoy the fourth annual “Kindergarten Days” party at the Connolly Branch Library on Aug. 15. Children entering kindergarten this fall and their families were treated to an evening of fun activities, snacks and gift bags. The staff and Friends of the Connolly Branch extend their thanks to the generous volunteers and local businesses that contributed to this event: Countdown to Kindergarten; El Oriental de Cuba; Sorella’s Restaurant; Peter J. Hanley, DMD; WIC (Women, Infants and Children); Maria Nunez; Hilda Bell; and Amy Snell.
We invite the community to join us on Mon., Oct 31 at 3:30 p.m. for our annual Halloween Party and Parade through Hyde Square. We appreciate the families, individuals, businesses and community organizations who continue to support the library as a vibrant part of the neighborhood.
