Thieves raid cars

Nov. 25 was Black Friday not only for stores, but also for thieves who broke into at least 10 cars on Sumner Hill.

Police incident reports show only one car break-in that day on Greenough Avenue. But a resident and victim told the Gazette that many more cars were hit. Most of the cars were unlocked, the resident said.

The Boston Police Department recommends that car owners: never leave valuable items in plain view in their cars; always lock their doors and roll up their windows; and install an alarm. Anyone who sees suspicious activity should call 911, even if it does not seem like an emergency.
