Accessory store opens on Hyde Park Ave.

FOREST HILLS—Loud Accessories opened its doors to shoppers last Saturday.

The new accessory store carries hats, scarves, gloves and jewelry, as well as local artists’ handmade jewelry on consignment. It took over the former Ultimate Kitchen and Bath storefront at 18 Hyde Park Ave.

Co-owner Wendy Paul told the Gazette she already has pieces by a few JP-based artists in stock.

Joanna Werman, a JP artist, and other artists will be providing handmade necklaces, rings and earrings, and JP artist Molly Withers is providing handmade scarves, Paul said.

Loud Accessories, so called because Paul wanted the store to be “vibrant and youthful,” she said, is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
