Police seek school sex crime suspect

SUMNER HILL—A man exposed his genitals to children outside a local school on April 24 and is being sought by police, according to the Boston Police Department (BPD).

The suspect, described as a short white male in blue jeans, reportedly approached children playing outside the Hollow Reed School at 93 Sedgwick St. around 10:30 a.m. He attempted to engage the children in conversation, then exposed himself and fled the area, according to a witness.

Local schools and daycare centers have been informed of the incident, according to BPD. Detectives from the local District E-13 Police Station and the BPD Sexual Assault Unit are investigating.
