Pride block party slated for June 10

HYDE SQ.—The JP Block Party for Boston Pride Week makes its annual return to Perkins Street on Sun., June 10.

A celebration of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community, Pride Week features dozens of events around town, including the downtown Pride Parade on June 9. A co-grand marshal of this year’s parade is the Jamaica Plain-based Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition.

Co-hosted by Dyke Night, the JP Block Party is a Hawaiian-themed, all-ages, family-friendly event with DJs, face-painting and sidewalk art. It will also feature Kristen’s Dogs & Drag Fashion Show, a display of rescued dogs available for adoption presented by Boston’s celebrity drag queens and kings.
