Obituary: Roberta Morin; JP native

Roberta Morin, 82, died peacefully on Aug. 27, 2012 after a brief illness. She was married to Albert G. Morin, who died Aug. 27, 1992 on their 42nd wedding anniversary. She was born and lived in Jamaica Plain, Hyde Park and Roslindale for most of her life.  She lived in Rocklin, Calif. for the past 13 years where she made some treasured friends and memories. She leaves her brother Russell Stewart and his wife Louise of Jamaica Plain; a sister, Harriet (“Sis”), and husband Richard Ogilvie of Bourne; and the late Peggy Walsh Bennett of California. She is survived by her children: Al Morin Jr. and his partner Larry Dow of Dracut; Patricia McCook and her husband Daniel of Marlborough; Pricilla Morin-Rasanen and her husband David Rasanen of Rocklin, Calif.; and three grandchildren: Daniel McCook of Medford, Brian McCook of Boston and Shannon McCook of Grafton. She has been a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be forever in our hearts. She leaves a legacy of love and service to her family, friends, church and community. A private memorial service will be held in November at Forest Hills Cemetery, Jamaica Plain.
