Warren stops by Doyle’s

U.S. Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren made a campaign stop at Doyle’s Cafe in Jamaica Plain on Oct. 23.

Warren, a Democrat running against Republican incumbent Scott Brown, was greeted by about 100 vocal supporters and was joined by several local elected officials, including City Councilors Felix Arroyo, Matt O’Malley and Ayanna Pressley, and state Rep. Liz Malia.

“JP has had my back all the way through,” said Warren after tending the bar for a while.

When asked by the Gazette after the event why she had come to Doyle’s, she said, “I came to have a beer.”
