State Department of Transportation consultants will present “several options” for the near-acre of land to be added to the Southwest Corridor Park as a result of the Casey Arborway project to the park’s Parkland Management Advisory Committee (PMAC) next week, PMAC President Janet Hunkel told the Gazette.
Hunkel also said she has reached out to Spontaneous Celebrations for input on a possible piece of public art for the new space.
There had been no prior announcement that a consultant had been hired or that a presentation was imminent.
Landscape architect consultants will present options at the next PMAC meeting, Wed., Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. at District E-13 Police Station, 3347 Washington St. DCR representatives will also be present.
MassDOT was not immediately available for comment.
