Woman knocked down, robbed on Arborway

ARBORWAY—A woman was knocked down and robbed by two suspects on the Arborway near the Jamaica Place intersection on the evening of March 20, according to Boston Police reports confirmed to the Gazette by Capt. Paul Russell, commander of Jamaica Plain’s District E-13 Police Station.

One suspect knocked the woman to the ground and held her head down while the other suspect took her belongings, according to Russell. The incident happened around 8:15 p.m., according to a police log. No description of the suspects is available.

Russell said there is an “active investigation” into the crime and that the police have beefed up patrols in the area. There have been no further robberies, but residents should remain alert and aware, Russell said.
