BPD: Body found in Jamaica Hills

A body was found on Parkside Drive in Jamaica Hills yesterday, and the Boston Police Department is seeking tips about the death of the “victim,” according to BPD.

The body was found outside near a motor vehicle in the area of 7 Parkside Drive, according to BPD. BPD did not identify the dead person in any way, including the cause of death, or why the person is being called a “victim.” BPD also did not identify the vehicle. The body was found early yesterday morning and EMTs had already pronounced the “victim” dead when police arrived, according to a BPD press release.

Parkside Drive is a secluded, winding road on the wooded Jamaica Plain/Brookline border near Brookline’s Larz Anderson Park. Jamaica Hills is known for expensive homes and is one of JP’s lower-crime areas, though it has its share of home and car burglaries.

Anyone with information about the death can contact detectives at JP’s District E-13 Police Station at 617-343-5628 or anonymously by calling 1-800-494-8477 or by texting the word “TIP” to 27463.
