Woman killed by train at Stony Brook Station; T running shuttle buses

A woman was struck and killed by an Orange Line train while on the tracks at the Stony Brook T Station around 2:45 p.m. today, according to MBTA Transit Police.

The MBTA is running shuttle bus service for all Orange Line stops from Jamaica Plain’s Forest Hill Station to Roxbury’s Ruggles Station while the accident scene is under investigation.

The victim’s identity has not been released, but she is described as white and in her thirties. Transit Police say she was trespassing on the inbound track at the south end of the station when she was struck and killed.
