The following letter was sent to various local elected officials:
The Casey Arborway at-grade plan is ridiculous and needs to be stopped. Traffic is terrible already during rush hours. I live on a side street that is used from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. as a bypass for traffic on Hyde Park Avenue. Cars race by my house four hours a day. I have never seen a police car monitor or ticket anyone in 10 years. The snow along the Washington Street Extension sidewalk is never shoveled. The buses at Forest Hills race down South Street at incredible speeds. And the bus parking/fueling debacle along Washington Street was supposed to be finished years ago and it’s a disgusting mess.
Do something for your constituents in this neighborhood. Yes, we know we are not Back Bay, but we do pay taxes and vote.
