Police seek missing JP store owner

The Jamaica Plain man who is the operator of Hyde Square’s Video Underground video store has been missing for three days, and the Boston Police Department is seeking the public’s help in finding him.

Josiah Simmons, 31, was last seen Sun., Aug. 11, around 2:40 p.m. at the Stony Brook T Station at Boylston and Lamartine streets. Simmons is described as white (non-Hispanic), 6-feet-1-inch tall, 175 pounds, thin build, with brown eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt, shirt, pants and shoes, with all of the clothing colored black.

Anyone with information about Simmons’ location can contact detectives at Jamaica Plain’s District E-13 Police Station at 617-343-5628 or anonymously by calling 1-800-494-8477 or by texting the word “TIP” to 27463.
