We Are Hair, a hair salon at 708 Centre St., is running a promotional contest after celebrating its second anniversary in Jamaica Plain. The contest is designed around 20 photos of the salon specialists in various locations around the neighborhood, and the winner will be the contestant who guesses all of the locations correctly.
The photos can be viewed online or in the salon. First prize wins a year of free haircuts, while second and third prizes offer six and three months of free haircuts.
“We’re really a neighborhood salon, and we feel that this contest represents that,” said Richard Repetta, owner of We Are Hair. “There are other salons in the neighborhood, and some have gone more upscale, but we really take pride in the comfort that we offer here.” We Are Hair recently tied with Fiore’s Bakery for JP’s Friendliest Business in the Gazette’s annual “Best of JP” readers poll.
Repetta underscored his value in supporting local businesses, which is why the contest includes many photos of other businesses that the team at We Are Hair frequent regularly, as well as some parks and playgrounds.
The contest will run through Oct. 31. Interested contestants can find more information online at wearehair.org, or in person at We Are Hair.
