Forest Hills gets bus clock

Forest Hills MBTA station got the system’s first bus countdown clock last week.

The centrally located sign shows departure-time countdowns for all bus routes serving the station according to MBTA spokesperson Kelly Smith.

“The display is flexible enough to allow the MBTA to add more information about bus service and other MBTA services in the future,” she told the Gazette in an email.

Dudley Station in Roxbury will be the next to get such a clock. It is expected it will be installed in the spring, Smith said.

JP’s Jackson Square Station is expected to be among those getting clocks this summer. Other include Ashmont, Central Square, Harvard Square, Haymarket, Kenmore Square, Maverick, Ruggles and Wonderland.
