Man injured in house fire

A two-alarm fire sent an elderly resident to the hospital after causing $400,000 of damages to a two-family home at 104 Bynner St. early on Feb. 22. Four people were displaced.

The Boston Fire Department (BFD) twitter account (@BostonFire) documented the incident as it happened, starting at 1:48 a.m. Feb. 22, complete with pictures of the rescue in progress.

The injured resident of the first-floor apartment, aged 80, was taken to Brigham & Women’s Hospital for smoke inhalation. A firefighter was also treated for debris in an eye. The fire chief estimates the damages to the home at $400,000.
