Bilingual organization helps vets

HYDE SQ.—With the United States set to celebrate Memorial Day, eyes will fall upon the veterans who have served our country. One organization, which has a branch in Hyde Square, seeks to ensure those eyes are not diverted and that attention is focused on supporting our veterans.

The Bilingual Veterans Outreach Centers of Massachusetts, which has a new branch at 383B Centre St. on the Blessed Sacrament Church campus, has a mission to serve “our veterans once out of uniform. These services continue to be their basic needs, human needs and well-being,” according to the organization website.

The Boston branch was previously located on Tremont Street before moving to Jamaica Plain, with an official opening with Mayor Martin Walsh in March.
